Spider Lake Provincial Park

Spider Lake Provincial Park is a water sport destination located west of Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The 65 hectare wilderness waterway park includes a sandy beach and two day use areas for picnicking. 

Qualicum

The park is a day use park and does not permit overnight camping. During visits many come to enjoy a day of canoeing, kayaking, swimming, wind surfing, fishing, scuba diving and beachcombing. During the summer the lake is a very popular destination for activity. Best to get there early for a good spot.

The larger day use area in the Spider Lake Provincial Park includes a swimming area, sandy beach, many picnic tables and pit toilets. The grass lawns and small sandy beachfront is an ideal destination for family outings.

The smaller day use area includes a few picnic tables, pit toilets and a roof top boat launch. It is here kayaks and canoes can access the lake. The boat launch and the smaller day use area are located 1 kilometre from the main entrance to the park. It is a small with a even smaller parking lot.

A dirt hiking trail in the park connects the two day use areas together.

How To Get ToSpider Lake Provincial Park

Travel Hwy #1 or the Inland Hwy (Oceanside Route) on Vancouver Island towards the community of Qualicum Beach, BC. Look for the Horne Lake Exit heading west. Travel west for 5 kilometres following the signs to the parking lot of the Spider Lake Provincial Park. The park is 17 kilometres from the community of Qualicum Beach.
