Nuu-chah-nulth Trail is a connecting hiking trail visiting sandy beaches and exploring a rainforest on the west coast of Vancouver Island in the Pacific Rim National Park near the Villages of Tofino and Ucluelet, British Columbia, Canada.

 Nuu-chah-nulth Trail

The 2.5 kilometre Nuu-chah-nulth Trail is a one way hiking trail. The trail has some hills and stairs leading up and down, as well as, wooden bridges, crossing over rumbling creeks and green swamp land. Being that it is a rain forest the trails do not dry often therefore they can be slippery and covered with moss.

The Nuu-chah-nulth Trail route takes hikers over Quisiitis Point. Bookmarking each trailhead are beautiful sandy beaches. On one end of the trail Florencia Bay beach greets hikers and on the other end  South Beach and Wickaninnish Beach treat new arrivals.

The Nuu-chah-nulth Trail mostly follows the coastline, zipping in and out of the rainforest. Along the trail are a few sitting benches, peek-a-boo ocean views and many, many First Nation interpretive signs. The signs provide a look into the culture, tradition and heritage of the First Nation people. There are pit toilets, picnic tables and parking at each of the beaches. When exploring the entire 2.5 kilometre trail some decide to park a car on each end.

All visitors to the park must have a Park Use Permit. Pack out what you pack in.
