Millennium Walkway is a short paved interpretive walkway located at the confluence of the Columbia and Kootenay Rivers in the community of Castlegar, BC in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada.

The walkway is a 1.8 kilometre wide, paved recreation path enjoyed, mostly, by walkers, roller bladers, dog walkers and bikers. Some use the path as a connector route for getting around the community while others use the walkway as a relaxing get-a-way destination for activity.

Millennium Walkway

The Millennium Walkway follows the Columbia River to where the river meets the Kootenay River. Along the paved pathway is a sandy beach area, lookout points, viewing benches, flower gardens, picnic tables and interpretive signs.

Interpretive signs explain the eco system and history of the area. The double rapids located just above the mouth of the Kootenay River were once referred to as the "Tin Cup Rapids". A name coming from the fur traders which once traveled these waters by canoe. In the late 1800s steamships traveled the Columbia River transporting goods and people.

Twin Rivers Park is located on the Millennium Walkway. The park includes playing fields, viewing shelters, playground, picnic tables, interpretive signs, washrooms, sandy beach, large grass lawns and a swimming area.

On the south end of the Millennium Walkway, connected by a short dirt path, are the hiking trails of Zuckerberg Island.
