Mt. Nkwala Mountain Trail is a short hiking and biking route, primarily used by hikers, which leads to a mountain peak with some great lake views of the Okanagan Valley.

The Mount Nkwala Mountain Trail is uphill trek and does have some sections with loose rocks. Good foot wear is a good thing on this trail. The trail is considered a moderate hike because of the steep short climb. Hikers can access the summit from the parking lot.

For mountain bikers, the Nkwala Trail is a short side trail, which is usually part of a longer day ride exploring the KVR - Kettle Valley Rail Trail. The Nkwala Mountain Trail includes two highlights. The short trail leads to the Nkwala Saddle where there are spanning views of the community of Penticton and overlooking Trout Creek.

The second highlight of the region is the forestry tower which is at an elevation of 3343 feet. The tower is located further up the road trail. At the tower there are more views, just different views of the Okanagan Valley.
