Belcarra Regional Park is one of the more popular recreation and picnic parks in the community of Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada. The Port Moody park is a waterfront park located north of the community on Burrard Inlet near the entrance to Indian Arm.

Belcarra Regional Park is a busy park in the summer months. It is popular for many recreational adventures. Some of the activities include fishing, swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, canoeing, kayaking, boating, scuba diving, horseback riding, biking, birdwatching and sightseeing.

The main highlights of the park is the sandy beach, the well maintained day use picnic sites and the network of recreation trails. Some of the recreation trails in the Belcarra Regional Park connect to the trails in the Indian Arm Provincial Park and the Buntzen Lake Recreation Area.

There are over 22 kilometres of hiking and walking trails in the Belcarra Regional Park ... plus 6 kilometres of horseback riding trails and 9 kilometres of biking trails. The trails vary from easy going, level trails to moderate and challenging trails. There are short trails and there are long haul wilderness trails.

The trails in Belcarra Park include the Bear Claw, Saddle Ridge, Academy (connects to Buntzen Lake Trail and a horse staging area), Sugar Mountain, Buntzen Ridge, Sasamat Lake (connects to White Pine Beach), Woodhaven, Springboard (connects to Belcarra Picnic Area) , Bedwell Bay, Jug Island Beach, Admiralty Point (connects to Cod Rock, Maple Beach, Burns Point) and the Diez Vistas Trail (connects to Indian Arm Provincial Park).

Of all the trails in the Belcarra Regional Park the main trails are:

Springboard Trail - a 3.5 km one-way trail which connects Bedwell Road, Sasamat Lake with the Belcarra Picnic Site. The trail follows a hard surface and is primarily used for walking, biking and horseback riding.

Diez Vistas Trail - a 7 km one-way trail which leads to views of Indian Arm. The trail begins in the Belcarra Park and ends in the Indian Arm Park. The route is a wilderness trail and it is a relatively challenging hike with elevation hiking. The end result are some fantastic views.

Admiralty Point Trail - a 5 km return trail which follows the coastline before leading to views of Mount Burnaby, Mount Seymour, Indian Arm, Cates Park and Deep Cove.

Jug Island Point Trail - a 5 km return trail which involves up and downhill stair sections before reaching a point with a secluded pebbled beach called Jug Island Beach and some ocean views.

The Belcarra Regional Park includes two main picnic areas - White Pine Beach and Belcarra. Dogs must be on-leash at all times when in the park.

White Pine Beach on Sasamat Lake includes a day use picnic area, swimming area, sandy beach, recreation trail, sightseeing benches, washrooms, parking and an outdoor centre.

Belcarra includes two picnic shelters (reserve system), washrooms, parking, recreation trails, sightseeing benches, playground, dock, ramp and day use picnic area.

Belcarra Regional Park is also a dive zone for scuba divers. Located near the Belcarra Day Use Picnic Area is a favorite diving zone called Whiskey Point. Other popular dive sites in the area include Racoon and Twin Islands located in the Indian Arm Marine Provincial Park.

The main entrance to Belcarra Regional Park is located off of Bedwell Road

From Port Moody travel north on Knowles Road to Loco Road and take a left. Travel west on Loco to 1st Avenue and turn right. 1st Avenue eventually merges into Bedwell Road. Continue on Bedwell to the White Pine Beach parking lot.
