Mt. Fernie Provincial Park is a another one of the popular recreation park destinations near the community of Fernie, BC in the Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada.The 259 hectare park protects the sensitive flora and fauna in the park and the shoreline of Lizard Creek.

  Provincial ParkMount Fernie Provincial Park is a wilderness park with an interpretive trail exploring forests filled with Douglas fir, spruce, black cottonwood, western red cedar. western larch and trembling aspen trees. The three kilometre interpretive trail follows Lizard Creek leading to a viewpoint looking out over a small waterfall.

Looming high in the background of the park is the 2,133 metre high Mount Fernie. The mountain and the park is the home to many species of wildlife like Bald Eagles, owls, osprey, red-tailed hawks, elk, black bears, coyotes and deer.

The park is a campground and day use destination. The campsite is small, ideal for tenters and campers, with basic amenities on site like picnic tables, fire pits and pit toilets. It is a popular campground, a paying campground where reservations are highly recommended during the peak seasons.

The day use and picnic area in the Mount Fernie Provincial Park includes access to the interpretive trail, as well as, provides an area of grass lawns with picnic tables, sitting benches and pit toilets.

During the summer months the activities enjoyed in the park include fishing, camping and hiking.
