The Alexander Murray Hiking Trail is one of the most breathtaking hiking adventures in King's Point, Newfoundland, Canada. This iconic Newfoundland trail challenges hikers with dramatic elevation, incredible viewpoints, and unforgettable scenery. Stretching approximately 8 kilometers, the trail offers a rewarding journey through forests, waterfalls, and steep mountain terrain.

At the start of the Alexander Murray Hiking Trail, hikers are immediately welcomed by lush forest and the sound of water. Along the route, three beautiful waterfalls are encountered, creating places to pause and enjoy the surroundings. The natural beauty of King's Point Newfoundland Canada is constantly revealed as the trail climbs higher.

The trail features 2200 man made stairs carefully constructed to help hikers climb the steep sections of the mountain. Incredible scenery is revealed with every step as visitors experience one of the most dramatic climbs in Newfoundland.

Along the route, five stunning lookout points are discovered. Each lookout provides a different perspective of the rugged coastline, dense forest, and rolling hills surrounding King's Point, Newfoundland, Canada. The views are absolutely incredible.

Eventually, the trail reaches its spectacular 1100-foot summit, where panoramic views stretch across Green Bay and the surrounding wilderness. From the top, the beauty of Newfoundland can truly be appreciated.

From the deck of the MS Volendam, we watched the city slowly fade into the distance as we departed the Port of Montreal and began cruising down the Saint Lawrence River.
