Photo GalleryEstablished on 1954 - the O'Brien Provincial Park is close enough to the community, but still far enough away from city distractions. Often, the park is a get away for a quick lunch or to sneak in some wilderness quiet time on a hectic day.

The O'Brien Provincial Park is best known as a popular picnic retreat, natural wilderness area and easy access point for the fishing the Wapiti River for trout, arctic grayling, pike and walleye.

The park is mostly hidden under a thick canopy of balsam trees providing plenty of shade for picnicking and group gatherings. Near the banks of the river there is a short gravel walking path providing access to the edge of the river.

There are a very high number of picnic tables with fire pits in the park spread out over a large swath of grass lawns. Many of the picnic tables are private and separated from each other giving groups plenty of room to play. In the corner of the park are some pit toilets.
