Middle Island Park is a 6 hectare (15 acre) historical island park located in the middle of the Miramichi River accessed by a short causeway. There is plenty of scenery and a 1.5 kilometre trail connecting to even more wonderful viewing opportunities. The history of the island dates back to the early days of the Micmac First Nation people.

How To Get ToMiddle Island Irish Historical Park

From Downtown Miramichi travel King George Highway and take a left onto Douglastown Boulevard to access the Centennial Bridge. Cross the bridge and take the Church Street Exit. Then take a left on Lobban Avenue and a right on Water Street. Continue on Water Street until you see the causeway on your left leading to the entrance of the park.
