Laird River Hot Springs in BC

Our trip to the Yukon was an incredible trip.  There was so much to see and do. We hiked hundreds of kilometres and combined we drove for thousands of kilometres by vehicle.   We covered allot of ground and saw so much. Now it is time for some rest.

On our way up to the Yukon we decided we would treat ourselves to a few days at the Laird River Hot Springs located southeast of Watson Lake on the Alaska Hwy.   In my opinion, based on the many hot springs visited, the Laird River Hot Springs on the Alaska Hwy is the best natural hot springs in British Columbia, Canada. Why … because it is in its natural state and has not gone overly commercial and  converted itself  into an  over sized swimming pool surrounded by buildings like many of the springs in BC.

The Laird Hot Springs is at the end of a short boardwalk path in a BC provincial campground.  The two pools are surrounded by bush, trees and birds set in a natural setting. It feels good here.

One of the nicest morning rituals we have experienced in awhile was getting up from our campers and waking up while walking along a boardwalk path through a forest leading to a warm, and not too busy, hot spring.  Can you say …  real nice.

Here is a picture of Bro checking out the hot springs for the first time.
