St. Ambroise Beach Provincial Park is situated on the southern shores of Lake Manitoba located north of the community of Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada and west of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

There are many beaches lining the southern shores of Lake Manitoba including St. Ambroise, Twin Lakes and Delta Beach. But it is the St. Ambroise Beach Provincial Park which is the more developed and family friendly of all the beaches.

The waters accessed from the beach in the park tend to be shallow. The shallow waters expose various small sand bars for play and exploration. There are sand bars located offshore as well which are ideal for adults to paddle out to via a canoe or kayak.

The white sandy beach is the highlight of the park. The beach is the central hub of activity in the park for swimming, sunbathing, reading, sightseeing and birdwatching. Other activities enjoyed throughout the park include camping, hiking, sightseeing, picnicking, windsurfing and fishing.

The St. Ambroise Beach Provincial Park is located in a region of the province which is highly populated with wetland and marsh environments. The wetland environment attracts resident and migrating birds to the region for resting, feeding and nesting.

The Sioux Pass Marsh is a wetland located within the St. Ambroise Beach Provincial Park. Exploring the marsh is a walking trail leading to a viewing tower and sightseeing benches. Located on the trail are information signs detailing the marsh and its wildlife.

The marsh trail and beach are birdwatching destinations. There are opportunities to view waterfowl, song birds and predator birds. Some of the birds more commonly sighted include the American white pelican, yellow-headed blackbirds, piping plovers and goldfinches.

Some of the facilities located in the St. Ambroise Beach Provincial Park campground include day use picnic sites, a canoe launch, playgrounds, a sani dump, washrooms, pit toilets. picnic shelters, viewing towers and a volleyball court.
