Hiking to Silverton Falls in Banff National Park

Silverton Falls is a fantastic hike if you're pressed for time. It's less than 1km to the waterfall view point. So it takes less than an hour to complete this trip at a total of 1
8km in and back. The trail starts out wide and relatively smooth until you reach the fork for Silverton Falls. The trail then narrows and you'll notice more roots and rocks sticking out along this section of the hike. There are a few switchbacks on your way up to break up the bit of elevation gain coming in at 111m total. Further past the switchbacks, the trail becomes extremely narrow along a slope with very abrupt drop offs. This section is short, but if you have small children or aren't sure footed around heights be very careful here. Once you arrive at the waterfall there is a small viewing area with no safety rails.

Nearby Things To Do in Banff
