The Old Fort Loop Trail is a sightseeing route located in the community of Jasper, Alberta, Canada in the Jasper National Park. The loop trail circles around behind a bedrock hill (some call it a mountain) before leading up to a lookout with far reaching, wide ranging views of the Athabasca Valley.

The lakes - Lillian and Galatea Lake - are the two highlight destinations located at the end of the trail. It is a popular adventure route for hiking, backpacking, wilderness camping and shore fishing for brook and cutthroat trout.

The Carthew-Alderson Trail is considered a challenging and difficult route popular for hiking, wilderness camping, horseback riding and backpacking. The trail can be, either, a very long day hike or a two day backpacking adventure. Long day hikers should be experienced and very fit.
