Located in Montreal’s Lachine borough, Parc René-Lévesque is a striking 140,000-square-meter park situated on a narrow peninsula jutting out between Lake Saint-Louis and the historic Lachine Canal. It offers a unique mix of natural beauty, calm waterfront trails, and rich cultural displays.
The park acts as one of the largest outdoor sculpture gardens in Canada, managed as part of the Musée plein air de Lachine. It permanently showcases 22 monumental, contemporary sculptures seamlessly integrated into the landscape.

Notable monuments scattered along the loop trail include:
Because the park sits directly across the water from the heart of Old Lachine, the northern edge of the peninsula offers exceptional, uninterrupted views of the mainland waterfront.
Most notably, walkers and cyclists get a perfect sightline across the canal to the majestic historic buildings of Collège Sainte-Anne (Secondaire Lachine). From the trail, the school's distinctive twin spires and classic stone architecture stand out dramatically against the shoreline, especially when framed by autumn foliage or illuminated by the late afternoon sun.
