Well, enter Mel’s Deli. It won my heart when I first moved to Hamilton, and it's still the sandwich place I would recommend to anyone visiting the Hammer. It’s the perfect combo of bread-to-meat ratio, and this is coming from someone who eats A LOT of sandwiches.
Their Italian Trio and smoked beef brisket satiate my taste buds every time. And the best part is that I can grab a cider just a few steps away at Steel Town Cider. The hot honey is my personal favourite. It’s a wonderfully weird combo of sweet and slightly spicy that actually works.
Hot Tip of the day: Buy a sandwich, and you get $2.00 off a draft beer or cider from Steel Town, or you can grab your drink first and get $2.00 off your sandwich (just remember to grab a token)
Local collaborations are the best collaborations.

It’s a weird catch-22. There is plenty to do, but no one to do it with. And I know that Hamilton has a lot to offer in terms of food, events and walks, so the question is, can I have fun on my own?MoreComments (6)
