Vital Park is a city park situated on the banks of the Red River located east of Downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Vital Park measures 46 hectares in size. It is considered one of the larger city parks in the City of Winnipeg therefore it attracts allot of attention. Many visit the area for walking, jogging, picnicking, birdwatching and sightseeing.

The park includes 4 kilometres of walking and hiking trails. The trails that explore the park grounds are paved, level and very easy going therefore they are suitable for all ages. The paved pathways are wheelchair and baby stroller friendly as well.

Not all trails are hard surfaced. The trail which follows the high bank of the Red River is a single track, gravel trail. There are sightseeing benches located on the trail providing excellent elevated views of the river.

The highlights of the park are the beautiful flower gardens and the large duck pond. The pond attracts many waterfowl to the park which in turn attracts the birdwatchers. The flower gardens are plentiful and colorful and are the site of many photos during special occasions like weddings and picnics.

In the winter months the duck pond becomes a skating rink, the hills in the park become toboggan slides and the trails transform into xc ski routes. The shelter near the duck pond acts as a warming hut for skiers, ice skaters and "tobagganists" during the winter.

The other amenities in Vital park include a soccer field, playground, totem pole, volleyball courts, boat launch, dock, washrooms and picnic shelter with BBQs. The picnic shelter can be booked for events.
