Forever on a mission to do things on my own, I decided to take a road trip to Campbell's Cross Farms.
I’d been itching for some cute Instagram-worthy photos (even though I don’t currently post to Instagram), and Campbell’s Cross Farms kept popping up on my feed. Located just an hour away from Hamilton, in Inglewood, Ontario, the farm is a delight for those looking to wander through fields, take cute photos, and pick some fresh-cut sunflowers. And I must admit, this was a pretty fun thing to do on my own. Because I was on a mission to pick my own sunflowers, wandering through the fields didn’t feel aimless. I had to find sunflowers that weren’t dead. Plus, the timer on my phone got a little workout.
Heather’s Hot Tip: Make the extra effort to walk through the entire field and head toward the least populated areas. That’s where I found the best sunflower blooms.
While summer is officially over, Campbells has extended its sunflower experience into the fall, in addition to pumpkin fest, making it a great option for anyone looking for an adventure that doesn’t require breaking the bank.
