Get ready for ten days of family fun, thrilling rides, live entertainment, delicious fair food, animals and community spirit at the 149th Western Fair in London, Ontario. Taking place from September 11 to 20, 2026, the Western Fair transforms the Western Fair District into a lively celebration of agriculture, entertainment and everything that makes a traditional Canadian fair so memorable.

Things to do at the Western Fair

From the moment you enter the fairgrounds, there is something happening in every direction. The midway delivers classic favourites along with brand-new rides making their London debut, while more than 60 food vendors serve everything from funnel cakes and fritters to tacos and other irresistible fair-food favourites. Meanwhile, the Animal Barn brings visitors up close to cattle, horses, goats, llamas, alpacas, pigs, rabbits and other farm animals.

Live music and family entertainment

Music is an important part of the Western Fair experience, with live performances scheduled every night at the Bud Light Music Garden. In addition, visitors can enjoy family shows, magic, circus entertainment, racing pigs, canine performers and other lively attractions included with Fair admission. New for 2026, The Bathtub Singer adds a wonderfully quirky roaming performance featuring a singer performing from a clawfoot bathtub.

Agriculture, animals and Southwestern Ontario traditions

At its heart, the Western Fair remains connected to agriculture and the communities of Southwestern Ontario. Visitors can discover agricultural exhibits, livestock and competitions while learning more about farming and where food comes from. Creative Arts competitions also celebrate local talent through baking, preserves, quilting, photography and crafts.

What's new at the 149th Western Fair

The 2026 Fair introduces more than 15 new experiences, including new food offerings, two new rides and Heritage Hall, where eight local heritage organizations share stories and artefacts from London's past. Free chilled water stations, free London Transit rides with advance Fair tickets and $6 food specials before 6 p.m. add even more value for visitors.

Sports Centre celebrates 25 years

The Western Fair Sports Centre is also joining the celebration in 2026 with ten days of special hockey and skating programming. Highlights include a 9/11 commemorative game, the London Nationals home opener, public skating, a Hockey Hall of Fame experience and an NHL Alumni game. Most of the special programming is included with Fair admission, while the hockey games require separate tickets.

Plan your visit to the Western Fair in London

The 149th Western Fair is located at 845 Florence Street in London, Ontario, in the heart of Old East Village. The Fair opens at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 11 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, with gates closing at 10 p.m. Advance admission starts at $15 for ages 11–64, while children 10 and under and adults 65 and over receive free admission. A $50 advance SuperPass includes admission and unlimited midway rides for the day.
