For over 60 years, on the September long weekend, Nicola Valley has welcomed top cowboys and cowgirls to compete for almost $20,000 in prize money in the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association’s (CPRA) Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo. Experience all the rodeo action from our covered grandstand seating, and enjoy free parking, food concessions, beer gardens and an assortment of vendors, including crafters and saddle makers, selling all things western. All the cowboys and cowgirls will be fighting for a spot at the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) and the action will be intense! So bring the family and join us, for one last blast of summer, this Labour Day Weekend at the Nicola Valley Rodeo Grounds in Merrit, BC. Rodeo fun for everyone! Visitors are encouraged to explore various BeadTrail locations by using interactive maps and brochures/rack cards, collecting signature beads to create their own bracelet to take home as a memory of their experience.


    Tourism is all about the Experience.

    Merritt is located in the sunny Nicola Valley and conveniently accessed from Vancouver, Kelowna or Kamloops. Merritt's rolling hills and cattle ranches, resort lodgings and fishing lakes combine a rich culture and history with outdoor adventure.
