The Rockin’ River Music Fest is a B.C. family-owned and operated country music festival that takes place annually, on the BC Day long weekend, in Merritt, BC – incidentally also known as the ‘Country Music Capital of Canada’.

The City of Merritt has embraced the festival and all that it brings to the community and outlying areas. Over the years, the Rockin’ River stages have been graced by any number of world-class entertainers such as Willie Nelson, Toby Keith, Kasey Musgraves, Kenny Hess, Eric Church, Dallas Smith, Sam Hunt, Madeline Merlo, Luke Combs, Brett Eldredge, Midland, Dustin Lynch, Chris Janson, and many more. Some of the highly anticipated 2019 Merritt Rockin River artists include Jason Aldean, Brothers Osborne, Old Dominion, Maren Morris, Kane Brown, Brett Kissel, Lee Brice, and Lindsay Ell to name just a few. It continues to be the festival’s goal to bring the best of country music to the very best country music fans in the world, and in the process provide an unforgettable experience that showcases the best of BC.

Come find your inner cowboy and experience 'The Real West' this August 31st and September 1st in Merritt, BC! For over 60 years, on the September long weekend, Nicola Valley has welcomed top cowboys and cowgirls to compete for almost $20,000 in prize money in the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association’s (CPRA) Nicola Valley Pro Rodeo. Experience all the rodeo action from our covered grandstand seating, and enjoy free parking, food concessions, beer gardens and an assortment of vendors, including crafters and saddle makers, selling all things western. All the cowboys and cowgirls will be fighting for a spot at the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) and the action will be intense! So bring the family and join us, for one last blast of summer, this Labour Day Weekend at the Nicola Valley Rodeo Grounds in Merrit, BC. Rodeo fun for everyone! Gates open at 11:00 am and the action starts at 1:00 pm.

Tourism Nicola Valley is pleased to announce that Merritt has joined “ The Bead Trails Experience.” This is a fun, affordable Cross Marketing & Branding service created to promote communities & business brands. Visitors are encouraged to explore various BeadTrail locations by using interactive maps and brochures/rack cards, collecting signature beads to create their own bracelet to take home as a memory of their experience.

Tourism is all about the Experience.

The Merritt Country Run will be held on Sunday, June 9th, 2019.

The race has grown to include over 350 runners (as individuals or in teams), 100 volunteers and over 100 spectators. The race distances include Twice Around the Track, 5K, 10K and a 21.1K.
