Watson, SK - Across Canada in search of #BIGselfies trip 2014
Due to extensive flooding I had to take a fairly substantial diversion at one point on my trip but fortunately that meant I could stop at Watson and their giant Santa.

It's a giant Sharptailed Grouse! Not only did this provide me with a great #BIGselfie but I also spent the night right by it, I like to think it was keeping a look out for me.

Rocanville was responsible for the construction of over a million oil cans for use during the war so to honour this achievement they created this, the worlds largest oil can!

I love telling non Canadians that I have been to Moose Jaw. They just love the very Canadian name, which interestingly seems to be a mispronunciation of the Cree word Moose Gaw...

I love telling non Canadians that I have been to Moose Jaw. They just love the very Canadian name, which interestingly seems to be a mispronunciation of the Cree word Moose Gaw meaning place of warm breezes. In fairness there is a second theory that when you look at a map the river looks a little like a moose jaw bone, this though is much less interesting and i think seems less likely as well.
That there is Mac the moose of course and at the time i took this photo he was the biggest moose in the world, since then a larger offering has been creating in Scandinavia though
