Calgary Stampede Tuesday Evening With Rides, Food, deadmau5 and Fireworks
Our first Calgary Stampede visit of the year packed a little bit of everything into one Tuesday evening. My little adventure seeker and I explored the midway, squeezed in a few rides, played games, found dinner and cooled off with a colourful treat before heading toward the Coca-Cola Stage for the deadmau5 concert. We finished the night beneath a sky filled with fireworks over the Stampede grounds.
The Calgary Stampede can be surprisingly manageable for families who plan ahead. Children six and under receive free general admission, while the $50 SuperPass offered unlimited admission when purchased before the Stampede began. For us, that meant there was no pressure to see everything in one visit. We could enjoy a few favourite attractions, take breaks when needed and save plenty of the grounds for another day.
This photo album follows our first evening from the midway and Ferris wheel views to Stampede food, the BMO Centre marketplace, live electronic music and fireworks. It was a colourful, busy and memorable start to several days of Calgary Stampede adventures.

One of the best parts of the Stampede for us, is always the amazing Fireworks show each and every night. There are many spots you can catch them going off, from both inside and outside of the Stampede grounds

Fireworks go off at 11pm every night at the Calgary Stampede. And they are always amazing!! It is part of the closing ceremony at the evening show. Prior to the fireworks, they have a drone show as well!

Fresh-cut fries, spiral spuds and plenty of colourful signs made this midway food stand difficult to walk past during our Tuesday visit to the Calgary Stampede grounds. Everywhere you turn, you will come across more food options!

Seating is few and far between near many of the food vendors. And what is there is constantly occupied as you may expect with 150000+ people visiting in 1 day. We found a spot away from all the foot traffic to eat in peace.

My little adventure seeker watched the stage from my shoulders, taking in the lights, music and enormous Calgary Stampede crowd from one of the best seats in the house. The layout is flat near the stage, so she required a boost to see!

Upon entering the Stampede Grounds, and all around, are employees offering free bracelets for child in case they get separated from their adults. It simply has their guardians phone number written on it. A fantastic safely feature at the Calgary Stampede!

The compact downtown Calgary skyline rose beyond the rides as the evening sun began to settle over the busy Calgary Stampede midway. The ferris wheel is always a great way to get a visual of the lay out at Stampede.

She was memorized by the incredibly large number of people below. Certain days of the Calgary Stampede offer free admission before a certain time of day. I believe Tuesday was one of those days offering free admission prior to 1pm.
