Discover the charm of Bracebridge, Ontario, through this photo gallery showcasing one of Muskoka's most picturesque small towns. From the independent shops and boutiques lining the historic downtown to the rushing waterfalls that have earned Bracebridge its reputation as the “Heart of Muskoka,” this Ontario destination is full of character, history and classic Canadian cottage-country scenery.

Located along the Muskoka River, Bracebridge has been shaped by its waterways from the beginning. The community developed in the 19th century as settlement and industry expanded throughout Muskoka, with the river and its powerful waterfalls playing an important role in the town's early growth. Today, those same falls remain among Bracebridge's most recognizable attractions and a reminder of the natural landscape that helped define the community.

This gallery captures the best of a stroll through downtown Bracebridge, including its charming storefronts, locally owned boutiques and inviting places to stop along the way. Explore the unique atmosphere of Chancery Lane, shopping and discovering local businesses. The collection also includes lunch at The Griffin Pub, a popular downtown gathering place that adds to Bracebridge's welcoming small-town atmosphere.

Of course, no visit to Bracebridge is complete without experiencing its waterfalls. Surrounded by forests, walking trails and the rugged beauty of the Canadian Shield, the falls offer an easy way to combine a downtown visit with a little outdoor adventure. Whether you're exploring Muskoka on an Ontario road trip, spending a weekend at a nearby cottage, travelling north to Algonquin or simply looking for a charming place to explore for the day, Bracebridge offers a memorable mix of history, nature, shopping and local flavour.

Browse this collection of photos from Bracebridge, Ontario, for a glimpse of Muskoka beyond the cottage dock—where historic streets meet waterfalls, boutique shopping and Canadian adventure.

The Griffin Pub may be small in square footage, but it is no slouch when it comes to beers (and a cider!) on tap! Although they don't have beer flights, they will provide a "taster" if you're not sure what you would like to get.

Located in Bracebridge, The Griffin Pub has a large selection of shareable, soups and salads. I can definitely recommend the beet salad. I had it as a side with the cauliflower tacos and it was amazing!
