Kimberley skips the usual chains, no McDonald’s or Tim Hortons, just an A&W, which makes the local cafés the heart of its coffee culture.
We are always on the lookout for unique local coffee shops, not just for a great cup of coffee, but for a cost-effective breakfast or light lunch and a place to get a feel for the community. These are the kinds of stops that fuel both your morning and your day of outdoor adventure in the Kootenays.
There are still a few Kimberley cafés on our list, and we have heard good things about the coffee scene in Cranbrook and Canal Flats too. Have you tried any of these spots? Let me know your favourites, or share any hidden gems in the area that serve a great cup of coffee.
