Kodiak Cabin at BearBerry Cabins: A Peaceful Alberta Getaway

Our stay at BearBerry Cabins near Sundre, Alberta, was one of those adventures where both the journey and the destination were equally memorable.

First, come inside the Kodiak Cabin with us for a walk-through of this cozy Alberta cabin getaway. From the rustic surroundings to the peaceful setting, it was the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the beauty of the Alberta foothills. 

Then, step outside for one of my favourite moments of the stay. Wild horses and deer were wandering through the field right in front of our cabin!

Alberta Cabin Getaway Near Sundre

Meanwhile, the surrounding scenery made it easy to forget how close we were to Calgary. Located just 90 minutes northwest of Calgary, BearBerry Cabins makes a wonderful getaway from the city. The drive there is part of the adventure!

On the way to BearBerry, we stopped in Olds, Alberta, for lunch at The Ramen Library, a cozy little food gem that surprised us with delicious ramen and gluten-free options. Check out our video of The Ramen Library to see why we recommend adding it to your Alberta road-trip itinerary.

On the way home, we took the scenic route through Cochrane, Alberta. Be sure to save room for a scoop (or two) at MacKay's Ice Cream.
