Step inside Molly Bloom’s Irish Pub in London, Ontario, and you’re immediately transported into a lively, eccentric corner of Ireland—with a distinctly London twist. With its exposed brick, dark wood, rich red upholstery, and walls covered in Irish décor, beer signs, football memorabilia, and quirky curiosities, Molly’s has a personality all its own. Even the cheeky “Wankers Corner” sign near the stage makes it clear that this is a pub that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

We visited in the evening, when the glowing sign outside and colourful lights inside gave the pub an especially welcoming atmosphere. The enclosed courtyard patio looked inviting even on a quiet night, while inside, the bar and stage area hinted at the lively evenings Molly Bloom’s is known for. Live music, karaoke, trivia, and televised sports all add to the sense that there’s always something happening here.

Of course, a proper pub visit calls for food and a pint. We tucked into an enormous basket of nachos, along with a mountain of waffle fries—generous portions that are perfect for sharing. Sean enjoyed a pint of Kilkenny, while I went with the classic Guinness. There’s something particularly satisfying about sitting at a pub table with a cold pint, good food in front of you, and a soccer game playing on the television.

Molly Bloom’s is more than just a place to grab a drink—it seems to have a different personality depending on when you visit. It can be a relaxed spot for a meal with family, a casual date, or a pint with friends, then transform as evening arrives, with music, karaoke, DJs, and a younger crowd bringing a livelier energy. Sports fans gather around the televisions, while special occasions and community events add another dimension to the pub’s personality. Even the CPKC Holiday Train’s annual appearance nearby can turn an ordinary winter evening into a memorable London experience. Between the theatrical décor, Irish atmosphere, hearty comfort food, entertainment, and welcoming pub setting, Molly Bloom’s brings plenty of character to London’s downtown scene.
