Spock Days is a community oriented, celebration of Vulcan, Alberta and the unique marketing and branding opportunity the town's name presents. Vulcan is a town in the prairies of Southern Alberta. It is located midway between the cities of Calgary and Lethbridge on Highway 23.

Now known as the "Official Star Trek Capital of Canada," Vulcan has a Tourism building made to look like a landed space station, a statue of the Original Series Enterprise, and other Star Trek attractions.

Celebrating over 25 years Spock Days has included many different events over the years as organizers attempt to bring more people to visit Vulcan and to showcase all the town has to offer.

In 2018 Spock Days saw the return of events such as the slo-pitch tournament, fireworks, pancake breakfast, family fun fair, beer gardens and cabaret.  The weekend also featured new events such as the mini buckers, the Kinsmen soap box derby, taste of Vulcan, tech town and a 9-hole golf tournament Sunday afternoon organized by the Vulcan Golf & Country Club to help wrap up the weekend.

Join us June 7th to 9th for some Trekkie Fun!

The Banff Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K offers runners of all abilities the chance to participate in this truly special event. Imagine yourself on a journey that flows from Banff Central Park, runs past Vermilion Lakes, up the Bow Valley Parkway and loops to finish in beautiful downtown Banff.  It is the running adventure of a lifetime.

The scenery is breathtaking and you will experience many different interpretive, geographical, wilderness and historical stages on your adventure. Run by the stunning mountain vistas known to Banff National Park, Moose Meadows, the new Legacy Trail, and serene Vermillion Lakes.

Interpretive stations at each of these stages will be along the way at the aid stations if you want to learn more about your journey. Although the run takes place in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, the course is not too grueling with a slightly rolling and fairly flat terrain.

Starting in the picturesque mountain village of Banff, full and half marathon participants will flow through a series of incredible natural, wildlife, and historical stages as they pass by the serene Vermilion Lakes and journey along the stunning Bow Valley Parkway.

The return trek brings you alongside the Bow River and over Banff’s famous bridges finishing to cheering crowds in Banff’s downtown Central Park.  The participants in the 10k will complete a 2 loop “Tour de Banff” that travels around Banff via the beautiful Bow River Trails and local streets passing by many famous Banff attractions including Banff Central Park, Bow Falls, Parks Headquarters, Banff Indian Trading Post, Banff Ave Bridge and more!

Register Early and even if you aren't a runner, get out and cheer the runners on and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The Long John Jamboree is an incredible party and winter festival to celebrate the arrival of spring in Yellowknife, NWT.

The Jamboree takes place on a frozen Great Slave Lake, the second largest lake in Northwest Territories.

Outdoor games such as pond hockey, ice carving, curling, and lumber jack racing are constantly going down within the Jamboree’s grounds.

Take a helicopter ride over the lake for some stunning photo opportunities!

There are dogsled races and rides for all to enjoy and be sure not to miss the pancake and chilli cook-offs too.

So many fun events and activities but be sure not to miss the Burn On The Bay and the parties within the Snow King Ice Castle. The Burn On The Bay is an annual event in which a large wooden sculpture is built, and then torched in front of the excited crowds under the stars, and usually, the Northern Lights.
