Favourite thing about\u00a0Saskatchewan?<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">(Prairie Pixel Photography )<\/span> My favourite thing about Saskatchewan has to be the hidden treasures that our province holds. \u00a0When people think of Saskatchewan, they often think of flat prairie but it is so much more. \u00a0We have rolling hills, badlands, beautiful rivers and lakes, waterfalls, sand dunes, boreal forests, wildlife and sunsets that are absolutely breathtaking! <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri;\">(eh Canada)<\/span> We cannot agree with you more &#8211; there is much more to Saskatchewan then what is on the Trans Canada Highway. Now I do it with my camera but I still have that childlike curiosity where I still chase butterflies.\u00a0 My initial background is in graphic design, and part of my education included photography.\u00a0 I fell in love with the ability to capture the beauty of what I saw around me and see it in photographs captured in time.<\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri;\">(eh Canada)<\/span> Looks like we owe your Mom and the butterfly big time for sparking your interest in nature and photography. Now&#8230; when we see a butterfly we will see Prairie Pixel Photography. What is your funniest photo moment? <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">(Prairie Pixel Photography )<\/span>\u00a0My funniest photo moment would have to be a few years back while hiking in the Canadian Rockies with my three children.\u00a0 I caught a glimpse of a moose so I told my kids I was going to get in closer &#8211; at the time I didn\u2019t have a longer lens with me.\u00a0 As I was photographing the moose eating leaves, paying no attention to me (did I say I was way too close?), my kids started yelling at me \u201cget out of the way\u201d.\u00a0 I turned around and behind me was another moose standing about four feet away.\u00a0 I was in between two of these big guys and was unsure of how I was going to get out without spooking\u00a0them by my movement.\u00a0 Fortunately for me I am 5ft tall and a little more difficult to spot among trees than the average sized adult. \u00a0I was able to ever so quietly (almost ninja-like) and carefully sneak out of the area without incident.\u00a0 It was a little scary and invigorating at the same time.\u00a0 We still laugh about it today because I had one of those \u201cdangerous tourist\u201d moments where I got in too close to the wildlife.\u00a0 We have all seen folks along the sides of the road stopping to take pictures while chasing down a female brown or black bear with her babies. The shots I took were great but I learned a lesson from it \u2013 I always carry my \u201cbazooka\u201d lens with me to ensure while taking photos of wildlife \u2013 I don\u2019t disturb them and I don\u2019t find myself in a precarious situation.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri;\"> (eh Canada)<\/span> Funny how Mother Nature knows best and is always teaching us lessons in life.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: medium;\"><strong><span style=\"color: black;\">(eh Canada) 7. What are your favourite winter and summer activities and why? <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">(Prairie Pixel Photography )<\/span> My favourite summer activity has to be canoeing.\u00a0 I am not the greatest paddler but I always have a very experienced paddler with me.\u00a0 I like to canoe on waterways that are free of motor boats or any other motor craft.\u00a0 Canoeing to me is natural and peaceful.\u00a0 I purchased my canoe a few years back and have never regretted it &#8211; \u00a0beside my camera equipment, it is my most treasured possession. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">My favourite winter sport would have to be hockey.\u00a0 Although I haven\u2019t played hockey for many years, I love the game.\u00a0 Being a proud Canadian I love hockey and being a hockey spectator is a sport in itself.\u00a0 I also like to photograph our beautiful Winters here in Saskatchewan which means Winter hikes are often on the agenda for me. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri;\">(eh Canada)<\/span> Canoeing and hockey &#8211; very Canadian Lori.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_4458\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehcanadatravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Northern_lights_october_20132.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4458\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4458\" alt=\"Northern Lights of Saskatchewan\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ehcanadatravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Northern_lights_october_20132.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ehcanadatravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Northern_lights_october_20132.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ehcanadatravel.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/Northern_lights_october_20132-150x100.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-4458\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Northern Lights of Saskatchewan<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: medium;\"><strong><span style=\"color: black;\">(eh Canada) 8. <\/span>Where should photographers visit when exploring\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Saskatchewan<\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: black;\">? <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">(Prairie Pixel Photography )<\/span> When exploring Saskatchewan, photographers have so many places they could visit.\u00a0 I do have to admit that I have an affinity towards the Northern part of the province.\u00a0 There you will find all types of treasures.\u00a0 The lakes are pristine, the wildlife is incredible and the views are amazing.\u00a0 I photograph the Northern Lights and in Northern Saskatchewan the Aurora Borealis light shows are incredible.\u00a0 One of my favourite places I travel to regularly has to be Prince Albert National Park.\u00a0 There you will find a great mix of easy to get to areas and more difficult areas for the more seasoned traveller such as the trek to Grey Owl\u2019s Cabin which can either be done on foot or through portage and canoe route.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri;\"> (eh Canada)<\/span> We also have many fond moments of Prince Albert National Park. Grey Owl&#8217;s story is fascinating and unbelievable\u00a0on so many fronts. A Canadian hero to many including us here at eh Canada Travel &amp; Adventure.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: medium;\"><strong><span style=\"color: black;\">(eh Canada) 9. <\/span>Where do you plan to travel in Canada for your next photo shoot and why<span style=\"color: black;\">? <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">(Prairie Pixel Photography )<\/span>\u00a0I am fairly mobile and have a tendency to jump in my vehicle to find my next destination.\u00a0 \u00a0I base my photographic travels on research and what I would like to capture next.\u00a0 Canada is such a vast country with so many diverse landscapes that my goal has always been to travel to as many places I can within the country.\u00a0 I do have a bucket list of long term\u00a0goals and I am hoping to plan a trip to the Yukon in the near future.\u00a0 I love to chase the Northern Lights and this is one place that is a treasure trove of sights\u00a0to see and gems to find.
