February already! How time flies when you are having fun!<\/p>\n
February gives us a warm and fuzzy feeling\u00a0 all over.\u00a0 The traveling road show is fast approaching as we continue our journey across Canada researching for our www.CanadaEH.net website.<\/p>\n
Statistics show February is the first month of the year where\u00a0 internet numbers spike as people begin to think more about upcoming sunshine months.\u00a0 Hence the reason for my boyish excitement as we have just completed another major upgrade in preparing our websites with more features and more information.<\/p>\n
Our www.GulfIslandsEH.com<\/a> Tourism Website has just been refitted to match the new EH Tourism look and feel. We have added over 40 new Gulf Islands parks and trails. We have provided updated text to every Gulf Island page. We added over 375 new pictures to the Gulf Islands Photo Gallery. We added some new pages with information on some of the top Gulf Island\u00a0 activities\u00a0 as well.<\/p>\n The Gulf Islands is one of the more beautiful vacation destinations in Western Canada. Until my first visit to all the islands I was very naive of what they had to offer me. Growing up on Vancouver Island, the only island I visited as a youth was Saltspring Island.<\/p>\n Now that I have visited every Gulf Island on the west coast many times over I can say I am very impressed. There are so many things to see right in our backyard. There are First Nation Totem Poles and shell middens. There are amazing sandy beaches, mountain viewpoints, secluded coves, rocky points, picnic sites, marine parks and hiking trails.<\/p>\n Anybody who knows me well knows\u00a0 my taste\u00a0 is different then most. So my favorite Gulf Island destinations are sometimes different than most. Some are drive up access others require hiking a trail. Here are some of my favorites.<\/p>\n The Twin Beach Park<\/a> to Orlebar Point<\/a> on Gabriola Island. Ruckle Park<\/a> on Saltspring Island. Savary Island<\/a> off the Sunshine Coast. Gulf Islands National Park<\/a> near Mayne Island. Rebecca Spit<\/a> on Quadra Island.
