It’s a good omen to spot a Moose.

I feel it is always good luck to see a wild animal in your travels. Whether it be a Bald Eagle or Bear to a Porcupine or Skunk, they all are good luck and great to see to boot. Today I headed out of Miramichi, New Brunswick with the intent of setting up camp near Fredricton, New Brunswick. There on the side of the road, (Fishing Hwy Route, that takes you through the center of New Brunswick.), I see something. …It has no head, but it is big and brown. As I was stopping to take a closer look, the most amazing creature, lifted it’s head from the ditch. It was indeed a Moose. I was so excited, as I have not seen one since researching Western Canada; British Columbia, Yukon, and North West Territory and Alberta, Canada. Mooses are especially lucky as they are such a majestic looking creature.I believe I sam my last Moose in Jasper National Park in Alberta.. So somewhere between Miramichi and Fredricton, NB, Canada. I see this creature. Picture :

Passing through Fredricton, (avoiding downtown as it is rush hour), I head down to hit the Southern Route of New Brunswick. Called the Fundy route it follows the southern coast. And holy wow! It is indeed a good day, at dusk as the sky was beginning to grey. I saw my first ever mother and calf moose cross the road not 100 ft in front of my. Hard to see, but as road trips are always at a casual pace. There was no threat of danger to the Moose or I.

This evening I am luc enought to see three Mooses.

This first one here, is busy feeding in the ditch.
He seemed to not worry about me too much as you’ll see in the headless moose
video clips.

The other two I saw where just at dusk, could barly see them cross the road in fromt of me.

But it was exciting, as it was my first ever sighting of a mother and calf together. He was so cute…
