Wickaninnish Beach is one of the more popular beaches because it is long, beautiful and lined with high end resorts. Located in the Pacific Rim National Park, the beach is situated south of Tofino, BC and north of the Village of Ucluelet, BC on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

Wickaninnish Beach Wickaninnish Beach is  very easily accessible, hence the larger crowds. The beach, along with a few other beaches in the Pacific Rim Park, form a string of sandy beaches forming Vancouver Island's largest sand dune. The other beaches involved are Long Beach and, Combers Beach.

Wickaninnish Beach makes the cover of many photo galleries because it is an ideal beach for beachcombing in the summer and storm watching in the winter. Visitors enjoy strolling the wet hard packed sand during long walks. Other activities enjoyed on the beach during the summer months include surfing, swimming and picnicking.

During the winter months Wickaninnish Beach is one of the more popular beaches to walk for storm watching. Suited up in rain gear and rubber boots people come to watch the storms crash the shore. Visitors embrace the thrills from the crashing waves making storm watching exhilarating to many.

To access Wick Beach there is a short paved hiking trail leading away from the main parking lot. There is a picnic shelter prior to the sandy beach and some picnic tables located in the shade of the trees near the beach.

From Wickaninnish Beach visitors can access hiking trails. One trail is just under 1 kilometer and it connects to South Beach . The other hiking trail follows a 2.5 kilometer trail, called the Nuu-chah-nulth Trail and it connects to Florencia Bay Beach.

All visitors to the park must have a Park Use Permit. Pack out what you pack in.

How To Get ToWickaninnish Beach - Pacific Rim National Park Reserve

Travel towards Tofino, BC on the Pacific Rim Highway. From the Pacific Rim Hwy look for the road signs indicating the Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre. Turn onto Wickaninnish Road and travel pass the centre to the very end of the road and park. A short trail leads to Wickaninnish Beach.
